Privacy

• No account, no login. We don’t ask who you are.
• Searches are matched in your browser. If a search needs a full street address, it is looked up with OpenStreetMap’s public geocoder (Photon).
• No cookies, no ads, no tracking scripts. Maps load from OpenFreeMap and fonts from Google Fonts, which see a normal web request from your browser, like any website.
• If you send a flood report or correction, we store what you write (and your email only if you give it) to review and improve reports. To stop spam we also keep a scrambled one-way code made from your network address — never the address itself. Ask us to delete your note anytime through the same form.
• The Chrome extension does its check on your own computer. It reads only the listing page you open, and downloads Doobega’s public data files for that neighbourhood — nothing about you is sent.

Terms of use

• Doobega gives information, not advice or a guarantee. A report describes public evidence about a location; it does not certify that any property will or won’t flood.
• Evidence comes from third parties (satellites, government lists, news reports, OpenStreetMap). It can be incomplete, out of date or imprecise. Each item links to its source so you can check it.
• Reports describe places, not people. We never state or imply anything about the conduct of any owner, builder or developer.
• Before buying or renting, inspect the property yourself — ideally after heavy rain — ask neighbours, and seek professional advice where needed.
• If you believe something is wrong, tell us. We review every correction.
